who doesn’t love a fair lady? or should i say Fairlady? well, your love for this fastback coupe is about to get even more exciting with the new Nissan 370Z NISMO RC Race Car announced by Nissan Motorsports. though the 21st century’s iteration may live without the Fairlady namesake, it doesn’t make the Z-car any less attractive. based on the street legal Z-car, this track-ready Z-car is lightened (2,954 lbs. or 1,340 kg versus the stock1 3,245 lbs. or 1,472 kg) and is race prep with FIA-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and a slew of performance upgrades as offered up by NISMO. designed to conform with International FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class specs, this Z-car can also be modified to compete in the Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge GS class. certainly a good news for team who wants to accumulate race experiences in varied racing classes. though there’s no stopping you in getting one for your own weekend track days if you have a burgeoning bank account.

the Nissan 370Z NISMO RC Race Car is fitted with the VQ37VHR motor that’s good for 355 horses (265 kW) and 359 Nm (276 ft. lbs) of peak torque, and the performance package expected includes NISMO race exhaust, NISMO tuned ECM, high capacity NISMO clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers, and a host of hose and connector upgrades to better prep the car for the rigorous demand of track use. in the cockpit, you will find a lone Recaro racing seat with six-point racing harness, a Sparco racing steering wheel, and a revamped and race-ready carbon fiber switch panel. the absolute good news is, this is not a dream track-prep race car but it is a real metal and oil monster that’s ready for your taking. all you have to do is to drop Nissan Motorsports a note and get ready your check book. more images and a short PR tidbits follows after the break.

Iconic GT car is lighter, faster and ready for the track
If you’ve ever wanted to extend your love of the iconic Nissan Z-car from the street to the track, now is a good time to take action. Nissan Motorsports is now offering Nissan 370Z race cars for customer orders. The track-ready Nissan 370Z NISMO RC is based on the street legal Z-car, but is significantly lighter and fitted with a FIA-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and numerous NISMO performance upgrades.
The Nissan 370Z NISMO RC has been designed to conform to International FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class specifications. With some modifications, the Nissan 370Z NISMO RC can also compete in the Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge GS class.
Weighing in at 2,954 lbs., the Nissan 370Z NISMO RC features NISMO race exhaust, NISMO tuned ECM, high capacity NISMO clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers and a Recaro racing seat with 6-point racing harness. A Sparco racing steering wheel and a revamped and race-ready carbon fiber switch panel are also part of the RC package. The 3.7 liter Nissan VQ37VHR powerplant is rated at 355 horsepower and 276 ft. lbs. of torque. Numerous hose and connector upgrades have been added to meet the rigorous demands of track use.
