Nissan Australia has recently revealed the new Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior and holy mother of… it is looks absolutely fantastic. The new Warrior is basically a Navara PRO-4X souped up by Premcar, Nissan’s core engineering partner.
But what’s Warrior program does? Well, it re-engineers a vehicle to make it even tougher and tailored for Australian conditions. However, nothing’s change under the hood, which is a 2.3L common-rail four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel motor that produces 140 kW (188 HP) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The enhancements serve to improve its off-road capability and handling.
These upgrades include new Warrior-specific tow bar, Navara-branded red bash plate and a 3 mm steel second-stage under body protection plate, 275/70/R17 Cooper Discoverer All Terrain AT3 tires with increased tread depth and off-road tread pattern, 100 kg (220 lbs) Gross Vehicle Mass upgrade, increased ground clearance, wider track, improved approach angle, revised suspension with new spring rates, revised front and rear damping, new larger and taller jounce bumper, and Nissan Genuine winch-compatible, Safari-style bulbar and integrated light bar.
There are some cosmetic touches too, including Warrior-specific fender flares, Warrior decal pack, and Warrior headrest embroidery. Each Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior by Premcar will come with a full-sized spare tire with alloy wheel.
The Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior will roll into Nissan dealerships in Australia starting September 01, 2021. Prices start at 67,490 Australian dollars (about US$50,000) for the manual transmission model and 69,990 AUD (approx. US$51,400) for the auto gearbox model.
