Most people love the great outdoor, but not everyone fancy being bothered by bugs or sleeping on god-knows-what-are-crawling-around ground. This is where hammock comes in but it doesn’t stop the bugs with aerial capability from trying to get cosy with you and that’s not to mention the sometime over-glaring sun or the sudden downpour that may dampen your outdoor appreciation. This is where Nubé Stratos Modular Hammock Shelter comes in. This innovative two-part hammock shelter stands out as one that actually doesn’t encroach on you while keeping the bugs and elements out – thanks to the incorporation of a 3-dimensional AirGap design.
You can choose to use the two parts separately or as one which adds to the versatility. I am kind of digging the StratoShield, as it keeps annoying bugs out, while offering an unobstructed view of the sky above and coolest part is, it offers a 100-pound gear storage within arms reach right under your hammock. The StratoFly, on the other hand, comes in handy to keep you nice and dry in the event of a downpour, and it will also protects you from gusty winds and scorching sun. Basically, the Nubé Stratos Modular Hammock Shelter gives you a cosy resting place amidst the wilderness. Also, it is simple to setup, requiring only four ground stakes to get it up and ready.
Once again, Sierra Madre Research, the maker of Nubé Stratos, has taken to crowdfunding platform to kickstart its new product. For $225-$245, you will be able to secure yourself the complete Nubé Stratos Modular Hammock Shelter set which comes with the StratosFly and the StratoShield. However, being a Kickstarter campaign, whether the product will see fruition depends on the funding outcome. Go ahead and check out the campaign pitch video after the break.
