ZTE-owned nubia will also be rolling out its next-gen gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 6 Series. OK. Technically, it has already been announced last week in China. Unlike its previous model, the new Red Magic is now offered in two flavors: Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro.
While most gaming phones top out at 144 Hz refresh rate, the new Red Magic is rocking the industry-first 165 Hz refresh rate on both models and the devices also outdone its peers with support for 360 Hz multi-touch sampling rate and up to a pretty insane 500 Hz one-finger touch sampling rate.
Powering the devices is, of course, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform, bolstered by up to 18 GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. Meanwhile, the display is an adaptive 165 Hz 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 10-bit colors which also has an under display fingerprint sensor buried inside.
Other key specifications include touch-sensitive shoulder triggers with 400 Hz touch sampling rate and active cooling air fan that maxes out at 18,000 RPM (and 20,000 on the Pro model) (collectively known as ICE 6.0 Multi-dimensional Cooling System), copper heat sinks for further heat dissipation, a tri-camera main camera (64 MP main + 8 MP ultra wide-angle + 2 MP macro), 5,050 mAh battery with 65W fast charging (or 4,500 mAh with 120W fast charging for the Pro model) and headphone jack on both models.
Nubia Red Magic 6 Series is available to order in China with a starting price of 3,799 yuan and 4,799 yuan, (about US$585 and US$738) respectively. The series will launch in North America and global markets on March 16. If you are keen, you can signed up to be notified of the launch HERE.
