I think OnePlus is hell bent on breaking the competition—and making consumers stare at their screens, wondering which OnePlus they’re supposed to buy now. The dust from the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus Ace6 hasn’t even settled, and here comes the OnePlus Ace6T, barging through the door like that overpowered MMO character who shows up in low-level zones for no reason. This thing seriously feels like OnePlus is cannibalizing itself hard. Like, “self-buffet” hard.

The new Ace6T [CH] is built around the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, scoring a ridiculous 3,561,559 on AnTuTu, which is basically OnePlus flexing on everyone—including itself. It gets a new generation “Wind Sprint” gaming kernel, a 165 Hz gaming display, and an 8,300 mAh Glacier Battery made of spherical silicon-carbon wizardry. This battery promises long life while somehow staying thin. Meanwhile, 100 W fast charging gets you to 50 percent in 23 minutes.
There’s also the Gaming 3-Chip setup: a Lingxi touch chip for more responsive taps and a G2 eSports network chip for better signal. Combined with the 360° antenna system, it means you’re less likely to drop connection, thereby avoiding the infamous “death grip.” ColorOS 16 brings the AI bells and whistles, and the whole device carries an IP66/68/69/69K rating. Basically, it laughs at water, dust, steam jets, and daily drama.
The build is classic OnePlus overkill: Silk Glass or the “flagship wave fiber” material for the purple version, Crystal Shield glass for the black and green, aluminum alloy frame, comfy R-corners, and a new quick key. OnePlus is so confident in its toughness, it straight-up claims it’s scratch-resistant even without a screen protector.
It also shrugs off heat like a champ. The Glacier Cooling System packs an enormous 43,940 mm² dissipation area, Glacier VC, Glacier graphite, and a Glacier back cover. The thermal conductivity is insane, and OnePlus even optimized the design for horizontal gaming so your hands don’t roast.

The display is a 6.83-inch 1.5K panel with 1,800 nits global peak brightness and 3,600 nits at 25% APL. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, ZREAL, 1.07 billion colors, up to 165 Hz, and all sorts of eye-protection tech, including AI blink reminders, low blue light, and near-1-nit dimming.
On the imaging front, it packs Sony’s IMX906 50 MP main camera with OIS and Oppo flagship imaging algorithms, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide. The front is a 16 MP shooter.
Elsewhere, you get LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.1 storage, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual stereo speakers, X-axis haptics, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor (works even with wet/oily fingers), glove touch mode, and USB-C (USB 2.0). And it has the self-developed Rain Touch 2.0, which lets you reply to texts or do whatever with the phone, even if the screen is wet, such as in the rain. I don’t know what will be so urgent that you must do that, but yeah, you can do that if you want to.
The OnePlus Ace6T launched in China with a pre-order starting price of 2,399 yuan [CH] (~340 USD, according to the current going rate). The specs, together with the price, will surely make other phones—including its own—very nervous.
