Please don’t ask how we missed this beautiful ride when it was announced. I suppose that too many things were happening when this was announced in September last year. We do miss stuff quite a bit, and we will just let it slide, but this, the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, will not be passed up. Why? Because it is the first hatchback Vision Gran Turismo since 2014’s Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV EVOLUTION Vision GT—if you even consider that a hatchback.

The Corsa GSE Vision GT looks like the actual 3-door hatchback you see on the road today, but with sleeker and futuristic lines. The front is sharp like a coupe, and the rear… well, it had me at hello. The oversized roof spoiler and the integrated taillight, and the supersized rear diffuser in yellow are destined to turn heads.
Officially unveiled at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is Opel having a little fun and flexing a lot of muscle. This is not a concept that vaguely hints at performance. It shouts it, just without shouting. The design leans heavily into Opel’s “Compass” theme, with intersecting horizontal and vertical elements up front and at the rear, paired with machined details that look like they were designed with a laser ruler and zero patience for softness. Active spoilers and aero blade fender flares are not there for show. They are meant to keep this small hatch planted when things get silly fast.
And silly fast is exactly the point. Power comes from two electric motors, one on each axle, producing a combined 588 kW or roughly 800 PS (789 BHP), with 800 Nm (590 lb-ft!) of torque sent through an all-wheel-drive system. The result is a 0 to 100 km/h (62 MPH) sprint in just 2.0 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 MPH). Yes, this is still called a Corsa.
Inside, Opel goes full detox. The cockpit strips away distractions in favor of a suspended lightweight racing seat with six-point harnesses, a roll cage, and race-focused ergonomics. Even the safety tech feels futuristic, with illuminated fabrics on the dashboard and doors lighting up to warn of vehicles lurking in blind spots. It is practical, dramatic, and just a little theatrical.
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo lands in Gran Turismo 7 this autumn, serving as a rolling reminder that hot hatches can still dream big, go electric, and look properly unhinged while doing it.
