Overwatch fans will have a hard time keeping their wallets because, Hasbro has unleashed a series of Overwatch-themed toys and collectibles, including Monopoly Overwatch Collector’s Edition. Well, what can we say? It is the Monopoly board game you have come to know, but with an Overwatch twist. A very unusual and interesting twist, I must say.

Unlike regular Monopoly though, players will need to choose a group lead, draft a team, and battle for the high score. Also, instead of real world locations and Chance cards, it has places found in the video game and loot boxes. And very obviously, it has tokens based on the key characters of the game, including D.Va, Lucio, Mercy, Reaper, Tracer (AKA Lena Oxton), and Winston.

Monopoly Overwatch Collector Edition and More

Here’s the quick description:

“It’s the Monopoly game for players of the Overwatch video game. In the board game, each player drafts a team of 3 including a group leader, and then they battle for the high score to win! Players earn points by moving around the board capturing objectives and collecting loot boxes. The Monopoly Overwatch Collector’s Edition features a premium box and Game Guide for true fans of Overwatch.”

In addition to the 6 character tokens, there are 6 group leader cards, 21 character cards, 16 objective cards, 9 loot box cards, 4 reminder cards, 1 numbered die, 1 ability die, 90 plastic HP chips (50 fives and 40 ones), and of course, the Game Guide. But really, what makes this collectible are the six tiny (but no less detailed) character tokens.

The Monopoly Overwatch Collector’s Edition will hit the markets in April, but you can pre-order it on GameStop for $49.99 and EBGames (Canada) for $69.99.

As mentioned, there will be several action figures. These will be 6-inch kits include Lucio, Reaper, Sombra, Tracer, Reinhardt, and a couple of dual-character packs. The single character kit goes for $22.99 each while the dual-character kit will sell for $49.99.

Then there are 3 budget NERF MicroShot dart blasters based on weapons of Lucio, Mei and Roadhog which will retail for $10 ($9.99?) and finally, there is a line masks which include Genji and Tracer. The latter comes complete with the hairdo, or at least the front of it, so you don’t need to style your hair to look like Lena, or something like that.
