Most people who play video games would prefer headphones over speakers. However, if you prefer speakers, then be sure to check out the Panasonic SoundSlayer HTB01 Gaming Speaker.
The HTB01 is essentially a gaming-focused sound bar designed to go in front of a PC monitor or TV. There are sound bars that claimed to be great for gaming, but there are hardly one that is designed from the ground up with gaming in mind. The HTB01 is one of those rare sound bars.
Panasonic SoundSlayer HTB01 Gaming Speaker is a 2.1 channel, 3-way speaker system with a built-in subwoofer designed in collaboration Square Enix, the game publisher best known for the Final Fantasy franchise.
The star selling point has got to be the three gaming sound modes created through a joint development with Final Fantasy XIV Online sound team.
It includes Role-Playing Game mode, First-Person Shooter mode and Voice mode. Details as follow:
• Role-Playing Game mode - Ideal for role-playing games and optimized for FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online. This mode creates a sense of reality and intensity, enabling gamers to feel as if they were inside of the game's virtual world.
• First-Person Shooter mode - Provides accurate audio location which allows users to hear subtle sounds such as footsteps, giving gamers the advantage in first-person shooter and third person shooter games.
• Voice mode - Enhances human voices and further contributes to the immersive experience. Recommended for adventure games, where clear dialogue can provide important clues.Not unlike today’s sound bars, the HBT01 features audio technologies such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS: Virtual X that combines to create “a 3D stereophonic technology system and acoustic space that envelopes the play in every direction.” The gaming speaker is, not surprisingly, optimized for use with Final Fantasy XIV Online from Square Enix.
There’s a special edition of the SoundSlayer featuring Final Fantasy artwork being showcased at Panasonic virtual booth at CES 2021. It is not know if this special FF variety will be available to buy.
That said, it is also not known when the Panasonic SoundSlayer HTB01 Gaming Speaker will be available and for how much.
