when smartphone sizes started to grow, one-hand operation seems like an impossibility but apparently, Korean handset maker, Pantech, didn’t think that should be the case with its 5.3-inch IPS Pro display-equipped Pantech VEGA R3 Smartphone (IM-A850L). according to Pantech, the R3 features their ‘Zero Bezel Tech’ technology that allows user to operate the phone with just one hand. other features include a powerful 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 16GB of onboard storage (expandable up to a mind-boggling 2TB via ‘external memory’), a 5.3-inch IPS Pro LCD capable of HD 720p playback, a mega-sized rear-facing shooter with 13.0-megapixel AF CMOS sensor (with flash, of course), a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, LTE and HSPA+ capable, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC-capable, and it packs a huge 2,600mAh battery pack that offers 360 standby time, and 14.5 hours of continuous talk time. the handset also boost a 2A recharger that can fully juiced the phone in around 100 minutes and it comes fitted with the industry’s first 2-port charging which simultaneous charging of the smartphone and an additional battery. letting user have a piece of mind as far as battery life is concerned, is the name of the game here and honestly, we are totally sold by its promising battery life and the dual charging function pretty much seals the deal. the Pantech VEGA R3 Smartphone is currently available in Korea through three telco, though no word on when it will be made available globally. learn more about the Pantech VEGA R3 HERE.
