Peugeot celebrated its 200th anniversary in China last month, and what could be more appropriate than to commemorate this bicentenary event with a concept electric automobile? introducing the Peugeot EX1 Electric Concept. although the model name ‘EX1’ doesn’t sound like anything fancy, however the car itself speaks otherwise.

driving this sci-fi look French car are two electric motors rated at 125 KW each and 240 Nm of torque. hence, effectively giving the car a total of 250 KW (340 BHP) pure electric power. these motors are mounted on each axle, thus improving its weight distribution and making it a traction friendly four-wheel drive electric vehicle.

i thought the EX1 looks pretty menacing and beautiful at the same time. something that had me drooling are the pair of suicide doors, that swings out the seat outward enabling ease of entering and exit. or maybe just entering – cos’ once entered, i probably won’t want to leave. never mind the tear drop shape monocoque body, i just want to be in it.
