POSE+ METAL Series 1/28 AFC-01H Legioss ETA

This news is going to make fans of Robotech/Genesis Climber MOSPEADA wet with excitement. I know it did for me (oops). What you see here is premium toymaker POSE+’s iteration of the iconic AFC-01H Legioss ETA, a transformable mecha from the post-apocalyptic anime Genesis Climber MOSPEADA—the third arc of Robotech in its U.S. adaptation, which is what most of us are familiar with.

POSE+ METAL Series 1/28 AFC-01H Legioss ETA

Standing 33 cm (13 inches) tall in Battloid mode, a.k.a. Armo-Soldier mode, the POSE+ METAL Series 1/28 AFC-01H Legioss ETA [HK] is a hefty collector-grade figure tipping the scales at over 1.7 kilograms (3.7 lbs!). This big guy not only wants you to feel its presence visually, but also physically when you’re handling it—and handling it you will, like, a lot, because it is high on playability.

In addition to the imposing missile setup, this premium figure features a Full Hatch Open mode (available in both bot and jet modes) and a dedicated beam cannon, boasting internal structural details. It further rocks a “Front-Opening Cockpit” design, showcasing meticulous sculpting and vibrant multi-color detailing of the cockpit. The icing on the cake is the included 2.5 cm fully articulated pilot figure of Scott Bernard.

Little Bernard may be tiny, but he comes with optional hand parts so you can recreate scenes from the series—including piloting the Legioss ETA (yes, in his MOSPEADA, a.k.a. Ride Armor), opening the energy compartment, and more. Now tell me, the kid in the grown-ass body of yours isn’t sold. I think I am sold. Oh, in case anyone needs a refresher, MOSPEADA is the acronym for “Military Operation Soldier Protection Emergency Aviation Dive Armor”.

The POSE+ METAL Series 1/28 AFC-01H Legioss ETA was fully unveiled at SDCC 2025, and it is now available for pre-order for a premium 3,380 Hong Kong dollars [HK] (~432 USD), with shipping starting sometime in April 2026.

As far as initial images go (which you can find a bunch of them below), this figure looks amazing. But man, the asking is as impressive as the figure itself.
