Jaguar is making a come back with an all-new aluminum two-seater sports car – the F-TYPE. the concept of F-TYPE was born as far back as the year 2000 but due to circumstances surrounding Jaguar’s then market performance, among other reasons, the project was shelved. therefore, the global debut of its production form at the Paris Motor Show next month will indeed be a momentous milestone for Jaguar, as well as for the Jag’s fans around the world. when launch next year, the F-TYPE will be available as a convertible with a choice of three petrol units: 335 horsepower (250 kW) and 375 horsepower (280 kW) versions of Jaguar’s all-new 3.0-liter supercharged V6, and a new derivative of its existing supercharged 5.0-liter V8 – all of which will be mated to an eight-speed gearbox that sends those ponies down the rear wheels. details remain scant at this moment but one thing for sure is, it will be equipped with Stop/Start technology for the eco-friendly touch. we shall keep our eyes peel for this one. while waiting for more details to surface, why not hit the jump for a gallery of the F-TYPE in its ‘camouflage’ form and a F-TYPE video with Ian Hoban, Jaguar Vehicle Line Director.
