aesthetic-conscious folks cheered on when LCD TV, and later LED TV descends into their living rooms. however, while the bulk of a television set has been taken away, so does the good sound system that comes with it. hence, it is no surprise that most of our today’s anorexic-inflicted TV set have less-than-ideal which calls for an outboard solution to make up for that short fall. this is where the Proficient MaxTV can help. on the business end, the MaxTV is equipped with four 2 1/2″ midrange drivers, two 1″ soft dome tweeters, front-mounted in a stereo mid-tweeter-mid configuration with the left and right speaker systems housed in their own internal enclosures, while the low-end audio reproduction are handled by two 5 1/4″ down-firing subwoofers, each housed in their individual tuned and vented enclosures. completing the performance department are four 20 watts (RMS) digital amplifiers in a 2-channel bi-amplified setup with two of the four amplifiers hooked up directly to the subwoofers and the remaining two drives the left and right front-firing drivers. an onboard limiter ensures that the subs will not be overpowered, thus maintaining a clean, undistorted sound regardless of the output level. additionally, it is equipped with Bluetooth technology, allowing you to stream music wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, tablets, or computers. designed primary as a platform speaker that is capable of supporting up to 72 kg (160 lbs) of load, the MaxTV has the flexibility to be wall mounted if your home decor calls for it. the Proficient MaxTV carries a retail sticker of $599.99. click on the above image for larger view.
