what can you do in 60 seconds? for some frictional characters, they can probably jack some luxe sports cars, but as a regular person, that’s the time you take to snap a boat together. putting a boat together in 60 seconds seems like a sci-fi stuff, and that’s not to mention owning a boat without having to pay for maintenance or mooring charge, but that’s exactly what Quickboats are. it is a flat-packed boat that literally unfolds and snaps together, accommodates up to four adult, and has provision to install an outboard motor of your choice. it can accept any motor ranging from 2hp to 10hp with a maximum motor weight of not more than 30 kilograms (66 pounds). when assembled, the boat measures 3.7 meters long and 1.7 meters wide (about 12 by 5.6 feet) and according to its maker, it could achieve more than 20 knots using a 9.8hp motor.

as you can see, this boat is pretty huge which means there’s no way you are going to get it moving by rowing and therefore an outboard motor is essential, but that would be outside of the asking price of $4,735. it might sound expensive, but think of the saving you are getting from not having to moor it somewhere and the maintenance, and oh, you will never need a trailer to transport it – it could fit on any regular automobile’s roof rack and it comes packed in two bags for an even easier transportation. and when you are not utilizing it, just pack it up and hang it on the wall or stuff in under your bed or whatever. that’s totally awesome cos’ it don’t even need a space in your garage (if you have one) or takes a huge chunk of space out of your storage room. check out a couple videos below to see how the boat is put together and also see it in action on the water.
