Mission: Impossible is finally coming to an end. For those not in the know, the iconic movie series is a continuation of the original TV show from the ’60s and ’70s. There are eight films spanning nearly 30 years—no small feat for a franchise built on Tom Cruise’s knees and increasingly absurd stunts.

The latest and final installment, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is actually Part Two of 2023’s Dead Reckoning. So yes, now’s a good time to rewatch the earlier films before the grand finale drops.
Speaking of which, Regal is rolling out the red carpet for this final mission the best way it knows how: with a popcorn bucket. But not just any popcorn bucket—this one’s called the Mission: Impossible Entity Popcorn Bucket, and it’s shaped like… a bomb. Sort of.
It features a transparent center so you can gaze longingly at the “explosive” popcorn inside. But before you can start munching, there’s a catch: you’ll need to join two golden objects to form a key that unlocks the lid. Because how else do you get into the espionage groove, right?
So, are you ready for the mission? Your mission, should you choose to accept it… is to cough up the cash (price TBA) at Regal when the movie lands in theaters on May 23. Before that, The Final Reckoning will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2025—though I doubt it’ll come with any novelty buckets.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to refresh your memory, here’s the complete MI film lineup in chronological order:
- Mission: Impossible (1996)
- Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
- Mission: Impossible III (2006)
- Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011)
- Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)
- Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)
- Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)
- Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025)
Oh, before we go, here’s the official trailer for those who have missed it:
