Renault vision4rescue Demo Car

Forget sirens and flashing lights—Renault’s new vision4rescue demo car is basically the Batmobile for firefighters. Based on the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, this rolling rescue robot has been beefed up with off-road chops, drone deployment, and what amounts to a mobile command center in its trunk. It’s like if a Swiss Army knife and a Transformer had a baby, and that baby became a heroic electric crossover.

Developed with the Software République tech collective and fire services across three countries, vision4rescue crams nearly 20 high-tech solutions into one flashy red-and-yellow package. It features everything from a retractable drone capsule to fireproof seats made from actual firefighter suit foam. There’s even a dashboard grab bar engraved with “Je te reçois 4 sur 4” (translation: “Loud and clear, buddy”).

The whole thing is styled like it’s auditioning for a Fast & Furious: Emergency Services spinoff—complete with chevron patterns, light bars, and 3D-printed bumpers that say “PinPon,” because apparently even French sirens get designer treatment.

In short, this isn’t just a car; it’s a firefighter’s mobile office, gear hauler, and drone-launching HQ on wheels. Now, if only it could make coffee too. The vision4rescue is not the only vehicle that launches a drone, be it for leisure or emergency response, btw. Hit the jump for a bunch of images of this high-tech first responder vehicle.
