Well, what do you know? There’s yet another special edition of the Ricoh GR. This time it is a Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition Special Limited Kit. Like the GR III Street Edition, the GR IIIx Urban Edition is also inspired by street photographers.
Retaining the unassuming and yet strangely alluring aesthetics, the Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition Special Limited Kit is presented in an evergreen metallic gray body with a unique texture and features a limited-edition metallic hot shoe cover, blue lens ring cap, and a leather wrist strap with a blue application that matches the color of the lens ring and the hot shoe cover.
With this special limited kit, Ricoh also debuts a few new functions, including Snap Distance, Priority mode, and Auto Area AF (Center) focus mode. Under the hood, it touts a 24.24 MP effective pixels CMOS sensor, paired to a 7-element-5-group lens setup that includes 2 aspherical lens elements).
Other standard features include hybrid AF, ISO100-102400, 3-axis sensor-shift shake reduction, Moiré reduction using SR unit, image sensor cleaning using ultrasonic vibrations “DR II”, internal memory (approx. 2 GB), supports SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card, a capacitive touch 3.0-inch TFT LCD, built-in wireless connectivity as well as Bluetooth, USB-C interface, and built-in stereo microphone – just to pick out a few.
The Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition Special Limited Kit is available in limited quantities for US$1,099.95.
