This is perhaps the biggest news in the LEGO Minifigure world since the LEGO Minifigures The Simpsons from 8 years ago. The Simpsons Minifigures collection was the first to marry blind-bag and license characters with each character getting their own unique head.
There have been uniquely molded heads before but never en masse, in a single collection until 2014. This singular purpose head formula was replicated in 2021 with the Looney Tunes (71030) collection and fast forward to 2022, we have another set: The Muppets.
The childhood of many is now immortalized as adorable LEGO Minifigures as part of the LEGO Minifigures The Muppets (71033). As before, they are available as individual Minifigure in blind bags.
All told, there are 12 characters from the popular children’s show: Animal, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Janice, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Rowlf the Dog, Statler, The Swedish Chef, and Waldorf.
Each Minifigure comes sealed in a ‘mystery’ bag with one or more accessories and a collector’s leaflet.
The LEGO Minifigures The Muppets (71033) will arrive at toy stores starting from May 01, 2022, priced at US$4.99 each.
