Street photographers in favor of Ricoh cameras may want to take a look at the new Ricoh GR III Street Edition Special Limited Kit that pays homage to street photography with some interesting aesthetic features.
The first is the metallic gray color body that evokes the asphalt pavement in the city, and the orange-yellow accent on the lens barrel and the hand strap stopper reminiscent of traffic lines found on the streets.
Speaking of hand strap, it is of genuine leather which, along with the compact, detachable viewfinder, are exclusively designed for this special edition compact shooter.
The viewfinder further features the number ’28’ on it, highlighting the camera’s angle of view. The unique body color also sports a grained texture that improves on the camera grip too.
Beyond that, the Ricoh GR III Street Edition Special Limited Kit is pretty much the same GR III you find in the market. That said, whether or not those few design features worth the U$1,199.95 asking price, or 300 dollars premium over the regular version is yours to judge.
I guess you are not just paying for the design features, but also exclusivity because, only 3,500 units will be made available worldwide.
Ricoh GR III Street Edition Special Limited Kit is slated to drop in mid-July 2020 at Ricoh website and select Ricoh Imaging authorized retail outlets.
