Forget about Thom Browne. Petrol heads with the power to splurge will want to check out the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Aston Martin Racing Box Set. It was pleasant surprise even though I am not a fan of folding phones and most importantly, I can’t afford it anyways.
Like Thom Browne’s, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Aston Martin Racing Box Set will be presented in a special packaging. In the case of the Aston Martin Limited Edition, it includes the regular’ol Galaxy Z Fold2, an Aston Martin Racing polo shirt, a Aston Martin Racing hat, a Aston Martin Racing phone case, a crystal plaque of sort, and a Samsung Galaxy Watch3.
The Samsung Z Fold2 Aston Martin Edition is a China exclusive that is available through Tmall.com. Why is it a China exclusive? I have absolutely no idea. However, it is clear that this is not just a Samsung and the British marque’s collaboration. Tmall is part of it, as indicated on the packaging.
As far as the device goes, it the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 we have come to know since its unveiling in August. The Aston Martin Edition comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM and in a choice of Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze.
The Aston Martin package is available since November 1 and commands a whopping 20,999 yuan (about US$3,140) (!??). That’s kind of pricey for those goodies, especially given that there’s no changes to the phone’s aesthetic. Thom Browne Edition may be more well worth the money, IMHO, as it has got the earbuds and a bunch of accessories, including watch straps.
