The world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen, the Samsung Odyssey Ark, has been upgraded. That’s right. The curved beast that does vertical orientation (known as Cockpit Mode) has a new model, this time rocking enhanced connectivity, along with an improved multi-view feature.

In the connectivity department, the new Samsung Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen (G97NC) supports the input and output of up to 4 external devices (3 in Cockpit Mode) simultaneously for users who want to go out multitasking.

Moreover, a DP (DisplayPort) 1.4 has been added to the Ark’s 3 HDMI ports to increase compatibility and connectivity options.

Also new to the Odyssey Ark is the KVM Switch. KVM, which stands for Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) is a switch that simplifies multitasking across multiple devices.

As a gaming monitor, it supports a 165 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response (GTG), and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

As before, the monitor features Flex Move Screen which allows you to change screen size from 55 to 27 inches, move the screen positions however you wish, and adjust the ratio from 16:9 to 21:9 or 32:9.

Then there’s the exclusive wireless controller Ark Dial that offers quick access to brightness, and more, without having to reach out to the monitor and a stand that lets you adjust the height, tilt, and pivot.

The monitor can be wall mounted too, if so desired.
