i am sure you guys are familiar with selfie stick. it is the must-have tool if you want to take your career in selfie to the next level. speaking of selfie stick, Satechi has join the growing number of selfie stick makers with their very own ‘smart selfie stick’, or more correctly known as the Selfie Extension Arm Monopod. the concept is basically the same: act as an extension to enable easier selfie and to capture more than just your head. being Satechi, it also comes with some extra features, starting with a not-so-mundane design and Bluetooth capability with built-in battery. it has a secure locking ‘head’ (basically, a spring-loaded clamp) with rubber grips that fits handset as big as iPhone 6 Plus. the stick can extend up to 3’3″ and retracts to a compact 1′ length.
other notable features include Bluetooth 3.0 technology, 360-degree rotating head with tilting ball joint, and convenient buttons built into the handle that puts shutter release, pairing, switching between iOS and Android modes, and power on/off, within thumb’s reach. another worthy mention is the ergonomically curved handle (probably the first we have seen in selfie stick) that is comfortable to hold and provides a steady grip, while most of the selfie stick we have seen including some supposedly ‘branded’ items has just a simple, straight handle. so, the Satechi’s item kind of surprised us with this little attention to detail. the Satechi Bluetooth Smart Selfie Stick is available from Amazon for $39.99 a pop. check out a product introduction video after the break.
