I doubt if we will ever see Honda releasing a special Shin Kamen Rider version of its CB650R, which Takeshi Hongo’s bike was based on. But I am quite sure somewhere out there, someone is already working on customizing motorcycles to look like the movie. Until there is one that you can actually buy, the closest you can get to owning the hero’s bike is a collectible toy, or if you ride a bike, the Shin Kamen Rider Takeshi Hongo Motorcycle Helmet Replica.
Japanese motorcycle lifestyle store Motorimoda has begun taking orders for the Takeshi Hongo’s helmet replica as seen in Shin Kamen Rider. It is not a movie prop but it is a replica of the on-screen helmet. Motorimoda not only supply the helmet for the movie, btw, it also collaborated on some of the costumes worn in the show. I am guessing that would be the motorcycle gear, specifically.
Anyhoo, to commemorate the release of the movie on March 17, 2023, Motorimoda is offering up the Shin Kamen Rider Takeshi Hongo Motorcycle Helmet Replica which is based on the ROOF Boxer V8 as seen in the film. The helmet is presented in a matte black finish complete with air intake, and features the Shin Kamen Rider logo with the serial number just below it on the back.
Each helmet comes with a warranty card with a serial number as well as a Shin Kamen Rider and ROOF cobranded soft drawstring helmet bag. In addition, the light smoke visor as seen in the film is available to purchase separately.
Motorimoda is having a pre-sale of the first limited edition Shin Kamen Rider Takeshi Hongo Motorcycle Helmet on its website for a cool 99,000 yen (approximately US$741 based on today’s going rate). The pre-sale campaign started on April 01 and will end on May 08, 2023.
