are you proud of your pedal-power, two wheelers? like, really, really proud? if the answer is a definite yes, then the Shoes Books and a Bike Stand is a must have furniture for your humble abode. it is basically a shelf (or stand, if you prefer) that lets you proudly display your bike along side with your favorite read and shoes. never mind if the combination of items to be displayed sounded weird, just think of it as a refreshing change for not having to hang your bike against a wall and plus, the shelf sort of frames up your bike up, ready for your (or your guests) appreciation whenever you are at home. constructed from a combination of pine wood, coconut fiber and steel, the shelf ensures your bike will be the center of the attraction (it will be the biggest object on the shelving anyway), along side with your shoes, books or magazines. damn. it still sounds weird to me but anyway, it is nevertheless a sleek idea. the shelf itself cost 880 CHF (that’s Swiss Francs for the uninitiated) or about US$911 but if you want to set it up like what you see in the picture, then prepare to throw in another 250 CHF and 440 CHF (around US$259 to US$456) for the clamp and the carpet, respectively. in short, a ‘complete picture’ would set you back at 1,570 CHF or roughly US$1,626.
