finding your work a little too mundane? well, you can inject a little fun and excitement into it with the Shotclock by Tom Chung – IF it ever make it to the market, that is. conceived by designer Tom Chung, this retro-licious clock drew its inspiration from basketball games, recreating the last seconds of a game which often sets the spectators and players’ heart racing. the Shotclock has three modes: a timer mode, in which when set, you have to complete your task before the time runs out and the buzzer goes off (read: excitement); a scoreboard mode for a simple game of pickup (read: fun); and a regular clock mode where you use it as, well you know, a time telling device (read: stylish) and a damn cool one, if we might add. according to Chung, the clock is designed to “fit in both domestic and urban environments” but what the heck, we think it will be perfectly at home in virtually any setup. needless to say, getting your office to look like a basketball court is entirely optional, so as donning in full NBA sports wear. unfortunately, the Shotclock is a concept at this point but hey, you never know if some big corporations might just pick this up someday. we shall hope for the best nonetheless. in the meantime, join us for a few more look after the break.
