a collaboration between an auto maker and a star designer usually result in a car with nothing but materials and color schemes as chosen by the designer but that’s not the case with the smart forjeremy Electric Car. with the forjeremy, smart scores as the first automotive marque to actually allow its collaborating designer, in this case, Jeremy Scott, to make changes to the vehicle’s body. based on the current production version of the smart fortwo electric drive, the forjeremy has Jeremy Scott’s signature ‘Wings’ design as part of the vehicle. this pair of wings are formed from transparent fiberglass and adorned with rocket-shaped elements that light up red, serving as the car’s rear lamps and brake lights. definitely, the perfect ride to go with your Jeremy Scott’s Wings sneakers. apart from the obvious (i.e. the wings), this special edition smart vehicle is given a bright white paint job along with generous doses of chrome treatment, ensuring this car, though silent, will not whizz past unnoticed. the white and chrome theme continues into the inside with fine white nappa leather for the instrument panel, seats and door trim, plus extravagant diamond stitching on the center panels of the doors and like the exterior, an abundance of chrome elements. finally, a flight yoke-like steering wheel in white completes the luxurious interior setting. under the hood, it is equipped with the same 74 hp (55 kW) electric motor that allows this compact winged urban transport to zip from naught to 60 km/h in 4.8 seconds and topping out at a top speed of 125 km/h (about 78 mph). a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery offers this two-seater with a guilt-free range of around 145 kilometers (90 miles). though a showcar now, the smart forjeremy will, in fact, be made available sometime next year as a limited edition ride. so fans of smart fortwo or unconventional rides, do keep your eyes peeled. in the meantime, scroll down for an awesome gallery of this cute little winged smart vehicle.
