how can Japan electronics giant ignore the curve fad? no, it can’t and so here we are reading about Sony freshly announced first curved 4K TV, known as BRAVIA S90 4K Ultra HD TV. well, you know Sony is going to flaunt its TRILUMINOS display prowess, and so not surprisingly, S90 has it, supporting the the glorious, subtly contoured 4K resolution display. Sony said the modest curve is “precisely-calculated” for making “lifelike viewing comfortable for everyone in the room.” well, they are the experts so we are not going to argue with that and we can almost imagine Sony looking at Samsung and LG while making this statement.
it will be available in 65- and 75-inch format and will of course, loaded with advanced technologies, including Sony’s 4K X-Reality PRO to handle upscaling, active 3D (two pairs of glasses are provided), Motionflow XR800Hz and X-tended Dynamic Range for boosting contrast and deep blacks. also for the first time, Sony also packs a 4.2 channel multi-angle Live Speaker system that employs separate drive units to “accurately direct Left and Right front and surround channels into the room at carefully-controlled angles.” the audio system is backed by Sony’s ClearAudio+ discrete audio processing and integrated dual low-frequency woofers, ensuring an expansive and immersive surround sound experience.
the TV will also come supplied with Skype camera and mic too and apparently, social viewing, live football mode, one-touch mirroring, as well as photo share, are all part of the package. no word on the price yet, neither was the availability make known, but it’s a Sony, so you can expect around its major competitors’ pricing, if not pricier.
