We have featured countless projectors here, but never one like the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro 4K Projector. Where most projectors strive to be as compact as possible while packing in impressive audio, or take on a design that disappears into the room by pretending it is a floor-standing lamp, a ceiling light, or something else, the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro 4K Projector goes big. Like, really, really big.

It makes no apologies about its size because it wants to be a mobile theater station—not just any old projector, 4K or not. It is the world’s first mobile theater station because it not only has 4K laser projection, but it is also rocking 7.1.4 spatial sound, a.k.a. Atmos. And mind you, this is no perfunctory sound system that claims surround from one single bar.
The sound, totaling 400 W, with loudness up to 107 dB, is pumped out by large-size wireless speakers comprising a voluminous subwoofer with 2 × 5.25-inch drivers with 160 W (2 × 80 W) RMS, 4 × 20 W front surround speakers, and 2 × 20 W rear speakers. All told, it has 7 horizontal channels, 4 overhead height channels, and a subwoofer. There’s also FlexWave 2.0, ensuring you are in the audio sweet spot. Both the front and rear speakers are battery-powered, offering up to 8 hours of runtime on a single charge.
It is indeed an absolute bonker of a machine.
It is called a Mobile Theater Station because it lets you bring the entire home entertainment setup wherever you want the action to be. And, yes, it is a floor-standing projector complete with two large wheels and a telescopic handle for wheeling it around. This has to be also the world’s first projector to have integrated wheels.
Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro 4K Projector is also a karaoke machine, complete with two wireless microphones for the crooners out there.

As for the visuals, its patented 4K tri-laser optical engine delivers 3,500 ANSI lumens with enhanced color richness and a 56,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Importantly, you never have to worry about adjustments. AI spatial adaptation takes care of obstacle avoidance, focus, angle, keystone correction, and even setting the optimal size—all with just one click.
It has a built-in auto micro gimbal, which allows for angle adjustment, and it supports both short and long throw ratios. The projector further boasts Wi-Fi 5, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, supports Dolby Vision and HDR10/HLG, and runs on Android 14.
So if you are an avid fan of alfresco movie nights, rooftop entertainment, or backyard parties, this big guy is your go-to gadget. I don’t believe there’s anything like this in the market. I could be wrong.
As for the size, it measures 435 × 343 × 761 mm (17 × 13.5 × 30 inches) and weighs a hefty 32.8 kilograms (72.4 lbs). But before you go into excitement overdrive, you need to know that it does not come cheap. Expect to drop at least US$4,999 on the machine, and that’s not including the screen. If you want the beautiful 200-inch inflatable screen for your backyard, bring-your-own-chair movie nights, you are looking at a grand US$6,499.
It was a successfully funded campaign on Kickstarter, where it rolled in a whopping US$8.24 million in funding from over 2,000 backers.
