SPRITE Limited Edition 16-ounce LeBron James Can

After 52 years of dry spell, Cleveland Cavaliers, lead by LeBron James, finally took the championship in a 93-89 win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. 52.Freaking.Years. Now, that surely calls for a grand celebration and while the Land and the whole of Cleveland celebrates, SPRITE, a Coca-Cola brand, wasted no time in pushing their own marketing campaign to mark this victory. SPRITE launches a social media campaign called #DapTheKing where it invites fans to perform the handshakes King James did with his teammates throughout the season.

Fans will have to record their own rendition of the handshakes and post it to their social media, tagging SPRITE (@sprite) along with the hashtag #DapTheKing. SPRITE history with LeBron James went back as far back as 2003 and the brand has stick with the King since, and today, he has proved his dedication and that of SPRITE, is well worth it. In addition to the #DapTheKing campaign, SPRITE is also releasing a limited edition 16-ounce (473 ml) SPRITE can featuring a bold yellow-on-green illustration of the King.

Unfortunately, it appears that only fans in Ohio will be able to get their hands on them. The commemorative cans will be available starting later this week and as with all limited edition stuff, they are while stocks last.
