Subaru may not make a huge ding in the auto industry, but that does not mean the automaker isn’t trying to make an impact in the automobile market. While its performance cars today did not shine as brightly as the GC-era Rexes, it is making headway in other more ‘practical’ aspects, such as addressing real consumers need for practicality like safety, economy and space, one car at a time and the one car today is the Subaru VIZIV-7 SUV Concept, which debuted at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. We wouldn’t say the Subaru VIZIV-7 SUV Concept is a stunning beauty; it looks okay but the size there though, is pretty mind-blowing.
It is enormous, stretching 5.2 meters long, spans 2 meters across, and stands tall and proud at 1.9 meters (17 x 6.7 x 6.1 feet) with a wheelbase of nearly 3 meters (9.8 feet) that most certainly ensure a good-size cabin space and legroom for the three-row multi-passenger vehicle. Little is known, at least to us, about this practical car that mature markets like U.S., Canada and the likes need. What we do know is, it will embody Subaru’s Dynamic x Solid design philosophy and also, it is a show of the size direction of the all-new three-row mid-size SUV destined for the North American markets. But don’t hold your breath for this giant to arrive anytime soon as a vehicle like such is planned to be released only in early 2018.
And oh, the wheel and tire combo you see on the Concept? They are of 265/55 R21. Indeed, everything’s going big for Subaru, well, at least it is for North American market. In the meantime, we invite you to feast your eyes with a few more official images and a promotional video below.
