Some people are so into bananas that they need a banana holder for their bicycle. But if you live in a city where baguettes are as treasured as bananas, well, Stockholm-based designer Gustaf Westman has you covered. Folks, meet the Baguette Holder by Gustaf Westman.

Now, it’s not necessarily more practical than the good ol’ brown paper bag, but boy, will this turn heads—if that’s what you’re after. It’s also a bold declaration of your love for baguettes.
Anyhoo, the Baguette Bag is unmistakably Westman. It’s playful, curvaceous, and joyfully unconventional. It’s the opposite of minimalist, going against the traditional sleek Scandinavian aesthetic with its bold form and candy-colored finish.
As you can see, the “bag” is pretty abstract. It looks like the upside-down filament of an incandescent bulb. It has a spiral tube design, where the spiral forms a kind of cage for your precious loaf of French bread.
Crafted specifically for the designer’s pop-up store opening this past weekend at 3 Rue Cunin-Gridaine, this intriguing creation was revealed during Paris Fashion Week. I don’t believe it’s for sale, though. So yeah—good luck trying to bag one.
