Meet the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus, the company’s first AI-powered tablet and the first in the U.S. to feature its latest NXTPAPER 4.0 display tech. This 11.5-inch Android tablet wants to help you work smarter, read longer, and maybe stop squinting so much.
At the heart of it is the NXTPAPER 4.0 LCD display, which uses nano-matrix lithography and circularly polarized light filtering to reduce glare and blue light without making the screen look like it’s been dunked in beige. It supports ΔE<1 color accuracy, 100% sRGB, and runs at a buttery 120Hz, so whether you’re reading fine print or watching reels, it stays crisp and vivid. TCL also threw in Smart Eye Comfort and Personalized Eye Comfort Modes that adapt to your habits and lighting conditions.
Performance-wise, it’s running on a MediaTek Helio G100 octa-core chip with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, plus a generous 8,000mAh battery to keep things ticking. It won’t outbench the latest iPad Pro, but that’s not the point. This is about comfort, practicality, and intelligent features.
Speaking of which, the tablet includes TCL’s new AI toolkit that goes beyond fluff. Text Assist helps tidy up your writing by editing, translating, or summarizing on demand. Writing Assist takes care of the boring stuff like drafting emails and calendar invites. Smart Voice Memo records your meetings, transcribes them, and even churns out summaries. And if you’re dealing with different languages, Smart Translator steps in to handle real-time translation—whether it’s voice, text, or even images.
Also included is the NXTPAPER Key, a customizable shortcut button that lets you toggle between standard display and NXTPAPER mode, or assign it to your favorite gesture combo.
The TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus is available now in the U.S., exclusively at Walmart for US$249. If your eyes are tired of screens but you’re not ready to quit them, this might just be the compromise they’ve been waiting for.
