The G-SHOCK GW-9500TLC is a limited collaboration model with Team Land Cruiser (TLC) Toyota Auto Body, reflecting their Dakar Rally 2024 win. The TLC Toyota Auto Body bagged the team’s 11th consecutive victory when it performed a one-two finish for the Production Car category on January 19, 2024.
The timepiece, which is based on the GW-9500 has a design inspired by the participating Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport vehicle at the recently concluded Dakar Rally 2024.
This rugged watch features a black and red color scheme, inspired by the Land Cruiser 300 GR SPORT rally vehicle, with a sand-colored band representing desert terrain. It incorporates bio-based plastics for environmental sustainability and boasts a tough design suitable for hard use.
Key features include a Duplex LCD for enhanced readability, Mud Resist construction, Triple Sensor capabilities (compass, barometer/altitude, and thermometer), Multi-Band 6 solar power, and a Super Illuminator for low-light visibility. This durable and functional watch embodies the spirit of endurance racing.
The new Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body x G-Shock Mudman GW-9500TLC-1 is expected to drop in Japan in February 2024 for 62,700 yen [JP] including tax.
It is, for now, announced for Japan and Asia but a worldwide release is expected. However, it is unclear when that will happen. We heard it will sell for 440 bucks when it becomes available in the U.S.
