There are many ways to show your love for cats besides owning cats, and plushies or calendars. You can, for example, wear it on your back and now, in your ears too with the NEKO Wireless Earphones.
Japan’s in-ear headphones and audio equipment maker Radius Co., Ltd. [JP] is launching the adorable NEKO true wireless earphones on August 8th, 2024, coinciding with International Cat Day (yup, it’s a thing).
These earphones, housed in a charming, super adorable cat-themed charging case, have already surpassed 10,000 pre-orders, thanks to their viral popularity on social media.
The NEKO earphones are more than just cute; they contribute to a cause in Japan. A portion of the sales will be donated to the cat rescue organization “Cat’s Future Door,” helping needy felines. This adds a heartwarming touch to an already delightful product.
Key features of the NEKO earphones include a unique marble pattern on each set, ensuring no two pairs are alike, and there are three cat designs to choose from: mysterious black, playful mixed, and elegant white. The earphones also have a fun “purr mode” and a fish-shaped LED indicator for battery status.
Other spec-sheet details that matter include 6.1 mm dynamic drivers, 20 Hz-20,000 Hz frequency response, Bluetooth 5.3 for up to 10 meters (33 feet) of wireless audio transmission, support for a variety of Bluetooth profiles (A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP), IPX4 water resistance, and 3.5 hours of battery life or up to 17.5 hours with the charging case.
The new NEKO Wireless Earphones are expected to be released on August 8, 2024, in Japan for 8,822 yen (tax included) [JP], or approximately 60 USD based on the current going rate. Skip ahead for a few more look.
