Evangelion anime and films may have concluded but not the merch, and neither is the racing team that is still actively competing in Japan. Another thing that continues is the Evangelion die-cast toy cars from Tomica. Joining the Tomica EVA RT Unit 1 GR Supra, and the Tomica EVA RT Unit 1 and Unit 2 Z34 are the Toyota 86s with the iconic EVA Unit 1 and Unit 2 liveries.
The Tomica EVA RT Unit 1 and 2 Toyota 86 Die-cast Toy Cars marked the four collaborations between EVA Racing and Tomy’s Tomica. As before, the 1/64 scale die-cast cars are modeled after the real-life, life-size counterpart and dressed in racing liveries on EVA Racing team’s race cars.
The Tomica EVA RT No.1 Toyota 86 boasts exquisite finishes and fine details found on the 86/BRZ race car from 2021 while the Tomica EVA RT No.2 Toyota 86 is based on the race car that competed in the Good Year Yaris & 86/BRZ Dream Cup in 2021.
The Tomica EVA RT No.1 Toyota 86 and the Tomica EVA RT No.2 Toyota 86 was released in May and June, respectively, in Japan for 1,100 yen (about US$7.69) each.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.
