There have been some wonderfully weird Transformers collaborations over the years, especially those based on vehicle-centric IPs (Stranger Things, TMNT, anyone?), but this one might just be the most delightfully bonkers yet. Say hello to the Transformers Scooby Doo Mysterious Prime & Automutt, where the Mystery Machine discovers it has been a Transformer all along.
The star of the set is none other than the often-overlooked Mystery Machine, which is actually a robot called Mysterious Prime in disguise. It is a 6-inch (15 cm) Voyager Class figure that transforms from robot to a Mystery Machine-inspired van in 19 steps. Transforming is only half the fun. Just like the TMNT Party Wagon collab, Transformers Scooby Doo Mysterious Prime & Automutt boasts four interchangeable heads that let you turn the bot into robotic versions of Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, or Velma, depending on who’s supposedly behind the wheel. Which, if I may add, is one hell of a way to get us to buy more than one set. As for Scoob, well, he’s got a disguise that’s more than meets the snacks.
He is the Automutt, the Mysterious Prime sidekick that converts between a robotic Great Dane and… wait for it… a box of Scooby Snacks. Yep, somebody at Hasbro clearly had way too much fun pitching ideas during that meeting, and we’re all better off because of it. Anyhoo, now that dear ol’ Scoob is the snack himself, I guess he’ll be less of a chicken than he was in the TV series.
The set also throws in a flashlight, a camera, plus Fred’s orange ascot and Daphne’s green scarf for a little extra role-playing flair. It is exactly the kind of crossover you never knew you needed until someone made it happen.
The Transformers Scooby Doo Mysterious Prime & Automutt set is available to pre-order now for US$57.99, with shipping expected in Fall 2026. Like Scooby himself would say: “Ruh-roh!” There goes your toy budget. Or maybe that only applies to me. Ugh.
