Want to zip around town without the baggage of an automobile, with minimal carbon footprint, and maybe even contribute to a global cause in fighting AIDS and pandemics? Well then, Vespa have you covered with the (VESPA ELETTRICA)RED.
That’s right, folks. The electric Vespa now has a (PRODUCT)RED model and I think it looks absolutely stunning.
“Vespa and non-profit organisation (RED) combine forces to create (VESPA ELETTRICA)RED, a special bike that reflects the shared values of respect for the environment and caring about global health.”

With the purchase of this electric two-wheeler, you’d be helping to achieve greater parity when it comes to the global right to healthcare. You can learn more about RED HERE.
Beyond the striking Rosso Red paint job, the (VESPA ELETTRICA)RED is pretty much the same as the standard Elettrica.
This means it is powered by a 48V motor that produces 4 kW (5.4 hp) of continuous power and max torque (at the wheel, mind you) of 147.5 ft-lb (200 Nm), paired with a 4.2 kWh battery that recharges in just 4 hours. It has a top speed of 45 mph (70 km/h).
It is not clear if does come with a purpose-designed helmet and a battery recharge cable like the regular Elettrica Vespa, though.
The scooter further features a TFT Instrument panel, as well as Bluetooth and Vespa MIA that lets you connect directly to your smartphone to check the trip stats, answer calls, read messages, activate voice commands, and manage your music selection.
If anyone’s interested, the (VESPA ELETTRICA)RED Electric Scooter is available now with an RRP of US$8,049.
