Dora the Explorer Movie Trailer

If you don’t already know, there is going to be a Dora the Explorer Live Action movie coming this August. Yes. That Dora. The somewhat popular American educational cartoon TV series by Nickelodeon that didn’t last more than two years is coming to the silver screen. I couldn’t believe it myself, but you know what? I think it may just be bigger than the short-lived animated series. IMHO, it is like the youth version of Lara Croft. Here’s the gist of the story:

“Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego, a mysterious jungle inhabitant, and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.”

Dora and the Lost City of Gold film stars Nickelodeon star Isabela Moner (also the kid in Transformers: The Last Knight) as the title character, Eva Longoria and Michael Peña (Narcos, Ant-Man) as her parents, along with Jeffrey Wahlberg and Eugenio Derbez as Diego and the mysterious jungle inhabitant, Alejandro Gutierrez, respectively. Dora’s best friend, the monkey is voiced by Danny Trejo and Benicio Del Toro voices Swiper.

The movie is in post-production now and it is slated to hit the theaters on August 02, 2019. The trailer looks pretty exciting enough. Then again, I am a sucker for such adventure-fantasy genre and also, I am easily entertained. I guess you could say I am easily satisfied when it does not involved gadgets. Anyways, who knows? This could be the next Indiana Jones we all have been looking for? Keep reading to find the first official movie trailer below.
