World of Tanks Modern Armor’s METAL FEST is back, and this time it isn’t some cover band in a smoky dive bar. It’s KISS. The face-painted legends of fire, pyrotechnics, and platform boots have rolled onto the battlefield, and they’ve brought tanks that look like they crawled straight out of a stadium tour.
This year’s event features four Premium KISS tanks and their matching 3D Commanders: The Demon, The Starchild, The Spaceman, and The Catman. These aren’t just skins slapped on steel. The Demon has wings and a flamethrower, The Catman moves with feline sharpness, and the rest are styled to look just as unreasonably spectacular as the real thing.
To make it louder, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley recorded new lines as their in-game counterparts. Studio folks say Simmons filled the downtime with road stories while Stanley sang with the kind of force that made everyone wonder if the booth would need rebuilding afterward. The result is Commanders that not only look ridiculous in the best way possible, but also sound like they just walked off stage.
METAL FEST 2025 runs August 26 through September 15 on PS4 and PS5. The event is free to join, but if you want the KISS tanks, your wallet will need to stage dive.
