The last time I hit up an audiophile show, the crowd there was a prove that the demand for better sound out of mobile devices is at an all time high. Droves and droves of visitors were busy savoring every notes pumped out by audiophile grade portable music players that commands hefty dollars. But, lets face it, not everyone has top dollars to drop for these delightful pocket wonder which this is why there’s the Zorloo ZuperDAC-S Portable Hi-Fi USB-DAC.
It is not immediately apparent for the uninitiated; but the ZuperDAC-S is a follow up to the brand’s acclaimed ZuperDAC that bestow HiFi music experience on computers and mobile phones. With the Zorloo ZuperDAC-S Portable Hi-Fi USB-DAC, it promised to add steroids, delivering a balanced clear and articulated sound in a wide soundstage with up to 192 kHz sampling frequency and 24-bit depth, and 120 dB SNR and 0.0005% THD+N performance – courtesy of ESS Sabre 9018 audiodac found packed inside its diminutive size of 50 x 16 x 10 mm that weighs less than 10g.
And those are not even it yet; it also has an integrated headphone amplifier in it, supports USB Audio Class 2 high-speed asynchronous mode, touts a battery-free operation and independent volume control, and finally it is compatible with multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, Linux, MacOS, and Windows. ZuperDAC-S comes wrapped in a minimalist aluminum chassis with three color choices: gray, red and silver.
The Zorloo ZuperDAC-S Portable Hi-Fi USB-DAC is expected to be available this month via crowdfunding campaign where you will be able to pre-order one for an early bird special sticker of $45, which is over 40 percent less than its eventual retail price of $79.
