You may have seen the 100 Year Hoodie before, but make no mistake because, this one here is different. Way different. This piece here, though still referred to as “hoodie,” is essentially a jacket and it is fashioned from 100 percent Kevlar. Yes. You heard that right. It is made from the same space age material from Dupont that has found its place in spacesuits and more notably, in body armor, which kind of made this outwear pretty much indestructible.
Aptly called 100 Year Hoodie Zip Up Edition (AKA jacket), this new addition to Vollebak collection features a full-length rubberized front zip with puller, four front pockets with giant two-way zippers (believe me, these pockets are ginormous!), heavy duty drawcords with rubberized ends, fully lined hood, 100 percent Kevlar Fleece fabric, and 100 percent Kevlar Rib at cuffs, hem and underarm paneling. Interestingly, this aramid fibers, which happens to tout a strength to weight ratio five times stronger than steel, will change color when exposed to daylight and direct sunlight. Dope.
