the car that defines the meaning of sports sedan is back in business. the new 2012 BMW M5 sports a twin turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, blessed with the wholesome goodness of direct injection and variable valvetrain, that resulted in a maximum power output of 560 horsepower (418 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. combining with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that allows the M5 to achieve a century sprint in just 4.4-second and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). though, there is no stopping you from opting for the optional 190 mph (306 km/h) M Driver’s Package.

other features include a brand new body treatment, regenerative braking, start-stop ignition, Active M electronic multi-plate limited-slip differential (LSD), and a bunch of electronics to ensure this sports sedan keeps up (and betters) its reputation. no official word on its pricing and availability but with the unveiling of the official specs and photos tell you that it’s launch is round the corner.
