building on the BMW F 800 GS dynamic off-road qualities, the 2013 BMW F 800 GS Adventure is everything the F 800 GS is and more. still powered by the same liquid-cooled 798cc twin-cylinder engine with 85 hp (63 kW) and 83 Nm of torque on the tap, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the Adventure model features a reinforced subframe to accommodate a larger 24-liter fuel tank (8 liters over the F 800 GS) that extends its range by around 120 km, a bodywork styling unique to the GS Adventure model, ABS, an improved bench seat, large windscreen, wide enduro footrests, adjustable reinforced foot brake lever, engine protection bar, and a pannier rack that also doubles as a tank protection bar. along with the standard BMW F 800 GS Adventure, Motorrad is also offering a slew of factory-fitted option extra such as ASC, Enduro mode, Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA), plus accessories to make your off-road adventure a more complete one. no. roof isn’t on the menu – if that’s what you are thinking.

all told, the Adventure model bears some technical differences from its standard counterpart with a slightly higher seat height (overall) and a tad heftier. the new BMW F 800 GS Adventure will initially rolled into the market with a 1,000-unit “Launch Edition” with a special Sandrover matt paint job and offered in three equipment packages: Comfort, Enduro, and Special accessories package. the Comfort package comes with onboard computer, heated grips and a center stand. the Enduro will have ASC plus Enduro mode, while the Special accessories package features a lockable aluminum case set, a topcase holder and BMW Motorrad Navigator Adventure including holder and cable. the latter is the perfect setup if endurance off-road touring is what you are after (and it looks pretty cool). scroll down for a few more larger views of the 2013 BMW F 800 GS Adventure “Launch Edition” in the gallery below, or learn more HERE.
