you may not have a chance to tame the beastly Juke-R and the only other option, the NISMO tricked out Juke only leaves much to be desired, but fret not, cos’ there’s the 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS that will lend you up 215 hp (18 horses more than the “regular” Juke NISMO) and up to a peak torque of 210 lb-ft. the “up to” is there for a reason, as this souped up RS (i.e. “race inspired”) version of the NISMO tricked out Juke will be available in two guises: an all-wheel drive version and a front-wheel drive model. both versions are fitted with a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve turbocharged engine, yielding 211 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque for the AWD, and 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque for the FWD version. the AWD gets Xtronic CVT with eight steps “gearing”, while the FWD gets a 6-speed stick shifter, along with Helical Limited-Slip Differential.
apart from that, the two are largely the same with features like increase structural rigidity, optimized engine control settings, revised exhaust system and baffling, NISMO-tuned electric power-assisted steering, four-wheel vented disc (larger rotors, no less) with the obligatory red lacquer calipers, massive 18-inch NISMO aluminum-alloy wheels shod with 225/45R18 Continental ContiSportContract5 summer tires, plus drool-worthy interior touched by NISMO, including genuine Recaro front seats, carbon fiber look finishers, special red-and-black color theme with suede, Alcantara and leather appointments. and oh, it as an improved aerodynamic performance too – a 37 percent improvement, to be precise – contributed by components such as the front fascia and grille, a lower and more aggressive front end design, sculpted side skits and a deeper rear bumper.
