Scion Sport Crossover Concept Lives On As 2018 Toyota C-HR

Toyota may have pull the plug on Scion, but the intriguing C-HR Concept the now-defunct marque debuted last year continues to live on today as 2018 Toyota C-HR, inheriting much of the Scion’s design. If you ask me, this Coupe High-Rider, as it is also known as, looks a lot less ‘bulkier’ then original concept while retaining the boldness the original. I would say, it is now more ‘earthly’, if you know what I mean. In fact, we thought it looks a lot like the Nissan Juke but only larger, which means it is essentially a sports crossover aimed at the same segment as the Juke. This Bespoke Land Rover Defender Has a Hearse-like Glass Rear Section to Display the Webb Ellis Cup

There is only one word to describe the Land Rover Defender’s design: timeless. Though it has been through several iterations, facelift and whatnot over the three decades or so in existence, its outlook remains largely the same. Sadly, the UK automaker will cease producing this iconic off-roader later this year and apart from rolling out a trio of commemorative Land Rover Defenders, it is only fitting that this rugged and much-loved ride be involved in one of the world’s most prestigious sporting event: the Webb Ellis Cup. Dubbed Land Rover Rugby World Cup 2015 Defender, this one-of-the-kind bespoke Defender is created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations and is based on a 110 Station Wagon (we insist its an SUV). Fiat 500X Crossover Hits U.S. Market in Q2, Priced at $20,000 and Up

We don’t know how we managed to miss the first compact crossover from Fiat when it was announced at last year Paris Motor Show, but anyways, as a consolation, we weren’t too late after all, cos’ the 2016 Fiat 500X Crossover is set to go on sale Stateside in second quarter of 2015. As far as U.S. consumers are concern, it will be configurable and carries with it a sticker starting at $20,000. We wouldn’t say the 500X is a beast, but it certainly looks like a 500 on steroid. Aesthetically, it is all pumped. Broader, taller and generally more muscular than the usual Fiat offerings. U.S. customers will get two engine variants: a 1.4L MultiAir Turbo with 160 hp and 184 lb-ft on the tap, mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir2 unit, pumping out 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. The latter is paired to a nine-speed auto gearbox and is available to both the all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive models. Subaru Forester Gets Souped Up by STI, But Alas, it is Still Not a Forester STI

Quell your excitement folks. What you’re looking at here is a 2015 Forester tinkered by Subaru Tecnica International and NOT, I repeat, NOT a Forester STI as one might have expected at this point in time. That means, sitting under that beautiful, sculptured hood of this Japan-only Forester tS is not the revered 2.5L turbocharged boxer found on the WRX STI nor is it the sprightly 296 hp 2.0L unit from the WRX S4, instead, it made do with a 2.0L DIT turbocharged unit that still offers a decent 276 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. To rub salt in the wound of Subby enthusiasts, stick shifter is out of the question for this largely family-orientated SUV. Land Rover Adds All-New 240 HP 7-Seater Discovery Sport To Its Stable

Land Rover is taking a stab at the crowding market of luxury compact SUV market with the all-new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport which, like the Range Rover, will be sold under the family-oriented Discovery sub-brand and hence, the prominent (and not everyone’s excited about) “DISCOVERY” badging at its nose and tail. one look at the Discovery Sport, you will immediately recognize it as a Land Rover, which pretty much says about the design aspect (and we shall rest our case on that note). under the hood, it shares the same drivetrain as the less family-friendly Range Rover Evoque with Land Rover’s trademark all-wheel-drive being driven by a 240 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Volvo Concept XC Coupe

the Volvo Concept XC Coupe you see here is the second of the three concept cars that the Swedish automaker will be introducing based on the firm’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). at a glance, it does look a little like the Concept Coupe, albeit on a slightly ‘fuller’ side, thanks to the larger 21-inch wheels, the more accentuated wheel-arches and a taller roofline. we don’t know about the rest, but we are definitely digging the elegant-cross-rugged look (i.e. the jacked up sport car look, like the Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept). though, we thought it could use a little ‘sharper’ look for this crossover concept. anyway, the design of the Concept XC Coupe is said to be inspired by Swedish high-tech protective gear maker POC, which results in a styling with orange details and matter rubber moldings. 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS

you may not have a chance to tame the beastly Juke-R and the only other option, the NISMO tricked out Juke only leaves much to be desired, but fret not, cos’ there’s the 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS that will lend you up 215 hp (18 horses more than the “regular” Juke NISMO) and up to a peak torque of 210 lb-ft. the “up to” is there for a reason, as this souped up RS (i.e. “race inspired”) version of the NISMO tricked out Juke will be available in two guises: an all-wheel drive version and a front-wheel drive model. both versions are fitted with a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve turbocharged engine, yielding 211 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque for the AWD, and 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque for the FWD version. the AWD gets Xtronic CVT with eight steps “gearing”, while the FWD gets a 6-speed stick shifter, along with Helical Limited-Slip Differential.
