The T-Cross and Tiguan Black Editions are here to add a dash of Gotham-chic to your driveway. Ready for orders starting December 12, these trims bring brooding sophistication to Volkswagen’s already classy SUVs.
For the T-Cross Black Edition, think 18-inch York alloy wheels and IQ.LIGHT matrix headlamps that could probably signal Gotham City from 500 meters (1,640 feet) away. Under the hood, choose between a 1.0 TSI engine offering either 115 PS or a peppier 150 PS option. And yes, Pure White paint is a freebie if you want to contrast all that black trim like a minimalist’s dream.
The Tiguan Black Edition ups the ante with 20-inch York alloys and a power duo of 2.0 TSI engines. Opt for the 204 PS variant, brand-new to the UK market, or go all-in with the 265 PS version, both paired with DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The package also includes a suite of driver-assist features like Lane Assist and Emergency Assist because looking good should never come at the expense of safety.
The Tiguan’s fresh MQB-evo platform delivers tech-savvy innovations, including an OLED multifunction driving experience switch (fancy speak for a smarter cockpit). Meanwhile, the T-Cross flexes its updated interior and revamped infotainment tech, a worthy glow-up for a model that’s already sold 1.2 million units globally.
Prices start at £29,985 for the T-Cross Black Edition and £46,605 for the Tiguan Black Edition. Both models can be ordered at Volkswagen UK retailers now.
