Scion Sport Crossover Concept Lives On As 2018 Toyota C-HR

Toyota may have pull the plug on Scion, but the intriguing C-HR Concept the now-defunct marque debuted last year continues to live on today as 2018 Toyota C-HR, inheriting much of the Scion’s design. If you ask me, this Coupe High-Rider, as it is also known as, looks a lot less ‘bulkier’ then original concept while retaining the boldness the original. I would say, it is now more ‘earthly’, if you know what I mean. In fact, we thought it looks a lot like the Nissan Juke but only larger, which means it is essentially a sports crossover aimed at the same segment as the Juke. Dodge Durango Shaker Concept Is A Frankenstein Of Various Dodge Rides

So settling down with a family compels you to forgo your sports car dream in favor of ‘more practical’ minivan or SUV? Well, that’s not be all and end all, really. Why? Just take a look at the Dodge Durango Shaker Concept. The normally tamed Durango SUV is one of the six Mopar-customized creations to hit up SEMA 2016 and it broke every rules in the SUV rule book. First, it is not tame at all – if its 6.4L HEMI engine lurking under the functional custom shaker hood that kicks out 485 horses and 475 lb-ft of torque, can help it and it surely don’t look tame either – thanks to the various custom works that practically turn it into a lean, mean SUV. Restored 1983 Land Rover 110 is Not Quite the Original But Still a Beauty

Now that the fate of Land Rover Defender is sealed, it gives fans of this iconic off-roader even more reason to retain their rides and even to acquire more. If you happens to be one of those huge fans, then you might be interested to know that another pre-Defender Land Rover is heading to the auction block. The vehicle in question is the 1983 Land Rover 110 V8 Country Station Wagon, which is a car believed to be a pre-production or a press car, was restored by “a revered classic body shop specialist” over the last ten years and it has, since restoration, travelled just 100 miles. This Bespoke Land Rover Defender Has a Hearse-like Glass Rear Section to Display the Webb Ellis Cup

There is only one word to describe the Land Rover Defender’s design: timeless. Though it has been through several iterations, facelift and whatnot over the three decades or so in existence, its outlook remains largely the same. Sadly, the UK automaker will cease producing this iconic off-roader later this year and apart from rolling out a trio of commemorative Land Rover Defenders, it is only fitting that this rugged and much-loved ride be involved in one of the world’s most prestigious sporting event: the Webb Ellis Cup. Dubbed Land Rover Rugby World Cup 2015 Defender, this one-of-the-kind bespoke Defender is created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations and is based on a 110 Station Wagon (we insist its an SUV). Fiat 500X Crossover Hits U.S. Market in Q2, Priced at $20,000 and Up

We don’t know how we managed to miss the first compact crossover from Fiat when it was announced at last year Paris Motor Show, but anyways, as a consolation, we weren’t too late after all, cos’ the 2016 Fiat 500X Crossover is set to go on sale Stateside in second quarter of 2015. As far as U.S. consumers are concern, it will be configurable and carries with it a sticker starting at $20,000. We wouldn’t say the 500X is a beast, but it certainly looks like a 500 on steroid. Aesthetically, it is all pumped. Broader, taller and generally more muscular than the usual Fiat offerings. U.S. customers will get two engine variants: a 1.4L MultiAir Turbo with 160 hp and 184 lb-ft on the tap, mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir2 unit, pumping out 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. The latter is paired to a nine-speed auto gearbox and is available to both the all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive models. Mercedes-Benz Vision G-Code Has “Multi-voltaic Silver” Paint Job That Acts Like a Giant Solar Panel

Marking the opening of the new Product Engineering Center in Beijing, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a sports utility coupe (SUC) study known as Vision G-Code. If the name sounds a little sci-fi-ish to you, that’s because it is. G-Code is the pointed star marque’s interpretation of the future compact SUC, or cars of the future for that matter, and one that’s loaded with technology imaginable and with a form to match too. It sports a coupe-styling in a SUV form with dynamic flowing lines accentuated by a continuous glass area wrapping the vehicle like the cockpit of a powerboat. On the roof, retractable roof rails maintain the aerodynamic efficiency when they are not needed and it has a ‘chubby’, yet sporty appearance attributed by its super compact 4.1m long body, short front and rear overhangs, enormous 21-inch aluminum wheels with delicate carbon fiber spokes, and a taller ride height signifying its willingness explore beyond paved roads. Toyota C-HR Crossover Concept is so Pretty, We Wish it Could Be Built Now

at a glance, the Toyota C-HR Crossover Concept looks like the Juke (in particular, the higher spec NISMO RS). this concept, which is destined for the Paris Motor Show, is not only a hint of future design language for the Japanese automaker, but signals a shift in crossover design that we thought started with the Nissan Juke. a powerful stance and muscular appearance are the first impressions we had looking at the two available images released by Toyota UK. details are scant, but that’s not going to stop us from liking the C-HR Crossover already. the C-HR is Toyota’s vision for a hybrid-powered compact crossover that also introduces “an expressive new design approach” with what Toyota refers to as “diamond styling theme.” Continue reading Toyota C-HR Crossover Concept is so Pretty, We Wish it Could Be Built Now

Land Rover Adds All-New 240 HP 7-Seater Discovery Sport To Its Stable

Land Rover is taking a stab at the crowding market of luxury compact SUV market with the all-new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport which, like the Range Rover, will be sold under the family-oriented Discovery sub-brand and hence, the prominent (and not everyone’s excited about) “DISCOVERY” badging at its nose and tail. one look at the Discovery Sport, you will immediately recognize it as a Land Rover, which pretty much says about the design aspect (and we shall rest our case on that note). under the hood, it shares the same drivetrain as the less family-friendly Range Rover Evoque with Land Rover’s trademark all-wheel-drive being driven by a 240 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
