The MINI family has just welcomed a new member, the MINI Aceman. The new MINI Aceman is an all-electric crossover that is positioned between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman. The concept of the all-electric crossover was revealed in 2022 which was followed by a special Pokémon mode model to highlight its electric nature. Fast forward to 2024, the MINI Aceman has been revealed for the U.K., Europe, and China markets.
The latest MINI is designed from the ground up to be an electric vehicle, with two output levels, namely, E and SE. The E offers 184 hp and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) on the tap, allowing for a century sprint in 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 99 mph (159 km/h). It will have an electric range of up to 192 miles (309 km) from its 42.5 kWh battery.
The SE, on the other hand, has a little more oomph with 218 horses and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) that would allow it to rocket from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a slightly quicker 7.1 seconds and send it on its way to a maximum speed of 105 mph (169 km/h). It also has a slightly better electric range of up to 252 miles (406 km) thanks to its larger 54.2 kWh battery.
Both models come equipped with contemporary designs featuring LED lighting, distinctive wheel arches, and a modern, spacious interior highlighted by a central 24 cm OLED display.
Available in three trims—Classic, Exclusive, and Sport—the Aceman allows extensive customization, from interior materials to exterior colors. Each trim level enhances the vehicle with unique styling cues and advanced technological features, including a next-gen infotainment system and comprehensive driver assistance systems.
The new MINI Aceman also introduces several new design elements, like flush door handles and an innovative toggle bar control system. Moreover, with fast charging capabilities, the Aceman ensures minimal downtime, enhancing its appeal as a practical and stylish electric crossover.
Starting at £31,800 (about US$39,807), the Aceman is set to hit the roads with first deliveries expected in November 2024 in the U.K. It is not clear if it will make it across the pond, though.
