Is eReader, AKA eBook reader, still a thing in 2019? If it is to you then you may want to check out the 2019 Amazon Kindle Oasis. In between the 2019 model and the first we saw in 2016, there has been just one new Kindle Oasis. TBH, the 2017 had mark upgrade over the first Oasis, but the 2019 over the 2017? Don’t so much.
2019 Amazon Kindle Oasis is practically the same as the two-year old model, save for one stand out new feature: an adjustable warm light that gives you control of the color temperature of the display, allowing you to adjust it (the display’s color temperature) from white to amber. Like I have said, it is virtually the 2017 model, made in 2019 thrown in with the aforementioned extra feature.
At the end of the day, you’d be expecting features carried over from the 2017 model, including a 7-inch glare-free 300 ppi e-ink display, IPX8 rated construction, 8 GB or 32 GB storage, adaptive front light and support Audible audiobooks. As always, processor is not mentioned. Then again, it’s a eReader and so I guess it doesn’t really matters what’s actually driving it.
It also does not matter whether it is a 2017 model made in 2019, thrown in with one single new feature because, it still has the same starting price of $249.99. Anywho, if you an avid eBook reader and haven’t upgraded your eReader like forever, perhaps 2019 Amazon Kindle Oasis could be a good candidate (if you can get over the odd square-ish form).
In case you do, you can pre-order it now on Amazon. Official availability is slated to be on July 24, 2019.
