Make no mistake, my friends. This ain’t no regular old Bugatti Baby II. This is a one-of-one, special edition Bugatti Baby II finished in a black over black combination, with a stunning never-before-seen gold-plated radiator and headlights and adorned with genuine solid silver Bugatti Macaron badge.

This ride makes no apologies for being ostentatious. And it has all the right to be because it is gorgeous!

For those who don’t already know, the Bugatti Baby II, which has been developed using a 3D scan of the original 1924 Grand Prix car, is a tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s original design; it is a 75% scale, electrified reimagining of the famous Type 35. It is handcrafted by The Little Car Company and officially licensed by Bugatti.

The Bugatti Baby II is offered in three trims: Base, Vitesse, and Pur Sang. This particular 2023 example is a Vitesse that boasts stunning, lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and significant performance boosts. A high-performance powertrain provides 60% more power than the base model, while a long-range 2.8 kWh battery pack offers a 50% increase in range.

While the scale-down recreation closely mimics the original with an aluminum bodywork hand-formed like the original, identical suspension and geometry that offers authentic handling and an aluminum dashboard, it has some modern implementations.

For example, the fuel pressure gauge has been transformed into a battery gauge, and as a nod to the Bugatti Veyron, the oil has transitioned into a power gauge. In addition, the adjustable pedals are machined from solid aluminum billet and display the famous ‘EB’ logo. At the same time, the fuel pump has been reproduced, but now serves as the forward, neutral, and reverse selector.

The Bugatti Baby II feels like a restomod, except it is not and also it is smaller which is adorable.

The 2023 Bugatti Baby II further features hand-painted numbering to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Speaking of Pebble Beach, this special edition Bugatti Baby II will go on the block at the Pebble Beach Auctions presented by Gooding & Company.

The auction will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023. It is designated Lot (138) and will be sold without reserve, though it is estimated to fetch between US$100,000 and US$120,000. A portion of the consignor’s proceeds will go to Pebble Beach Company Foundation.
